Historians are working to bridge the gap between technology and the world
around us, by using technology to be able to provide detailed
information about the history of Union Hill Cemetery. With access to phones
that have capabilities of internet, people can scan a QR code to visit a
website that can provide them with vast amounts of historical information,
while at they are exploring the cemetery. By doing this, the community can set
up websites about any cemeteries, so that others can learn more about small
cemeteries and record valuable historical information.
It is quite easy in today's technology filled environment to build a website, and attach a QR Code to that. This is also safer and more economical, compared to displaying and maintaining the information directly at the cemetery, it is a permanent sign available to people everywhere, without out the worry of physical damage. By creating websites for cemeteries, we can easily connect people across the globe with information that they could not have found otherwise, simply with a few clicks of a button. Creating a website to remember and preserve cemeteries is connecting the past to the future.

To the left is a page that is posted at the cemetery, so that visitors can access this website by scanning the QR code.
